Rainy Season
Hi folks. It's the second day of summer.
It's raining.
It'll be raining all damn month
I hate it.
Some notable things that have occurred this month have been my post-Golden Week infection that resulted in two weeks of medication (7 types, two times a day). That wasn't so fun. On the upside, I've taken up Kendo! My teacher can't understand English and I can't understand Japanese, so I'm just watching him and trying to copy. My left arm is killing me and I'm walking a bit bow-legged. But it was fun, and I'm going to go back next weekend.
Right now I'm catching up on Battlestar Galatica. I only started watching it at the beginning of the month, and it's been really engrossing. I'm now at the end of the Season 2 and watching another mini movie before going onto Season 3. I'm hoping it will keep me going through this dark, rainy month

Glad to see that you have not lost your ability to whinge,moan and complain since you've been sick. Kendo what a great sport that is. Not. Watch out for the 4 year olds Blake!
Speaking of Blue Haired girls, how much would you pay for the actual film of her smiling?
My co-worker won on auction on Yahoo Japan for it. The amount he payed was ridiculous, and this is coming from me, a diehard Rei fan :P
What, like the celluloid? Meh. On my first trip to Japan, I picked up a copy of the Gunnm image album for less than Y1000, used. It came with a sticker AND some of the celluoid from the original animation. Frankly, I look at that sort of thing as a novelty, little more.

Come to think of it...the only anime swag I wished I'd gotten but didn't was an Asuka Zippo. Somehow, something that would explode into flames seemed apropriate for Die Redhead. As it was, I wasn't sure I could bring it on the airplane with me...and my wife was with me at the time, and it felt kinda awkward with her around. Married life's funny like that.

Yeah, the celluloid. Think of what you payed for the Gundam image, and then add two zeros to the end...
An Asuka lighter would be nice, although the cost of taking up smoking just to use it wouldn't :P
